Dr. Ajit Thachil is a distinguished Consultant Cardiac Electrophysiologist currently practicing at Meitra Hospital, Kozhikode. With extensive expertise in the field of cardiac electrophysiology, he completed his DM in Cardiology from the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, followed by a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Cardiac Electrophysiology at CARE Hospital, Hyderabad. Dr. Thachil holds the certification of Cardiac Device Specialist (CCDS) from the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE). He has been a pioneering force in the field, establishing Kerala's first dedicated electrophysiology setup in the private sector, as well as initiating several groundbreaking programs, including remote monitoring of pacemakers and the state's first epicardial ablation program. With over a decade of experience, he has performed thousands of complex ablations and device implants, making significant contributions to the management of arrhythmias, device-based therapy, and conduction system pacing.
